Nick's birthday

Nick turned 10 a month ago.  He wanted a dollar bill cake, so we thought we'd go the extra mile and make it a 10 dollar bill cake with his face on it, print it on a transparency, and put it on the cake.  Jake really worked hard making it, and it looked fantastic.  Then when it was time to print, we found out it's not legal to print money, who knew?  Even totally altered, wrong size money, it still wouldn't print.  Somehow Jake was able to print it out one time on regular paper, but wasn't able to do it on the transparencies.  I think Nick was pleased anyways and that's really all that matters, right?  He got a football and plays catch almost everyday with it.  In celebration we played miniature golf when  his bay area cousins came to town.
Nick is a great kid.  He can really make Jake and I laugh with his great sense of humor.  He is a straight arrow and such a good example to the other kids.  He's very smart and helpful.  He has so many awesome qualities.  We feel so blessed that he's part of our family.
