favorites

Sometimes Jake and the kids and I ask each other questions about favorites and likes. what do you like to do, what is your favorite color, that sort of thing. It's fun.
Carly started it today and she asked me what my favorite color was. I said red. Then she said What is your favorite rock? ... continuing on in the game Nick asked me what my favorite movie was, I didn't answer fast enough so he guessed.... G.I. Joe? (by the way, he's never seen a GI Joe movie, I asked him what his favorite movie was and he said GI Joe and Jumanji. Has he seen Jumanji? No.)

minus 2 teeth

Jake got two of his wisdom teeth pulled today. One tiny one and one massive one, pulled by Dr. Moser. Both teeth intact. Jake is doing really well. He doesn't remember the ride home really, good thing I drove. His cheeks are not puffy, he looked way worse when he had a cavity filled. He said it went a lot better than getting a cavity filled also..

We have been enjoying knock knock jokes lately. Nick and Carly have been having a good laugh. I had a really good laugh when Carly tried to tell a knock knock joke, but started it out saying "Ding Dong" instead of knock knock.

Here's another one from Carly. When Grandma Cathy was here she asked me for something and I told her she would need to ask her grandma. She asked, and Grandma's reply was "You bet!" She turned to me and with lots of enthusiasm said, "She bet!"

artista

Little lady Annelise has surprised me. She seems to be the first to really love coloring. If she finds something to write with she will go over to a drawer in the desk, pull out some paper and start to draw, laying down. She's not really a kid yet, she's still a baby. She's probably been doing it for about a month or two now. The other day we were outside, and she found a crayon and paper outside. (You can find just about anything out there.) She just got down on her tummy and started coloring. It's pretty funny to watch. She can say uh oh and mama, that's about it. One time I've heard her mimic me on saying mooooo. She likes cows. She likes it when we put blankets on her head as though she were Mary.

A couple of other things about the others. About a month ago the training wheels broke on Nick's bike. He never liked riding it anyway, he always rides the trike, and Carly rides her two-wheeler with training wheels. A couple of days ago I asked Nick if he wanted to give the bike a try with no training wheels. I had just bought him a new bigger bike at a garage sale, and I think that got him interested, plus the other boys on the block have bigger bikes. We started out with the small bike, and he really learned how to ride it in like 5 minutes. He can ride all the way across the court. He still has trouble turning and getting started, but he is doing so great.

Carly thinks zuchinnis are called bikinnis. She LOVES to wear high heels and bring her own purse to Sams club. She is a lady with an attitude.

last weekend

Last week Donnie got married in Dallas. It was so fun to be there with all of my siblings. Jake stayed home with the kids, and his mom flew out to help us out. It was a beautiful wedding, and Donnie married a great girl, Jennilee
